iPhone is a line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It runs Apple's iOS mobile operating system.

The first generation iPhone was released on June 29, 2007; the most recent iPhones, the seventh-generation iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, were introduced on September 10, 2013.

I started this new topic here in General Off-Topic because it is necessary to have a single topic for all the iPhone related issues and topics.

Which version of Apple iPhone do you use? I use Apple iPhone 4.

iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch were unveiled during Apple Live on September 9, 2014. How do you think about these products?

The usual hype with nothing much new to talk about.  I do not believe in electronic leashes.  They are for sheeple.

I'm not a "apple fanboy" or a "android fanboy" etc..

I've had a blackberry, I've had a couple androids.. I would like to get a windows phone... But honestly, while apple makes solid tech, I didn't see anything with the 6 or 6plus that impressed me, even in the slightest. (just my opinion)

I don't even use any smartphone! (which is unusual condsidering I'm in the current generation that is now 20-30 years old and the majority uses smartphones.)

I just stay away from Apple's overly expensive products...

I prefer Mac PCs but own an Android phone.  To be honest, I've never been too impressed with the iPhone, and I'm not even that thrilled with Androids or smartphones in general.  I might go back to a flip/feature phone once this current one bites it.  I always thought they were unnecessary but figured I would try it; while it's nice in many situations, it's not...necessary.

A mobile telephone is sometimes a necessity.  Anything else is a luxury brought to you by the people who want you to consume, ... consume, ..., consume ...

This is called churning the base, and the frequency is getting to be so high as to be continuous.

They shouldn't even be called smartphones.  I don't know what the name should be instead, though.  The "phone" aspect is becoming more and more secondary with each new release.  Functionally, I find that sometimes actually trying to use the device for communication is the most frustrating part.

More than smart "phones", they're mini-tablets that have the functionality to be able to call somebody.

You know that if you stick a modem card in any computer it can call out.  All that has really happened is that the 'portable' computer has been miniaturized and then popularized by the Internet companies.
