Is it at all possible to place and elevated railway over a Sunken Hiway. I've looked all through the puzzle pieces in the NAM and can't find anything that would work. So any help would be greatly apprecciated.

I'd use normal Rail, but I want to make use of elevated rail networks and keeping the road crossing to zero.

Thanks

I have made the puzzle pieces for elevated rail over a sunken highway, but they are not yet published and not yet in the NAM.  I am not sure when they will be available.

This is good to know that they are at least on their way!!

What depth do you use when making the puzzle pieces? ie which hole digger plot do you make them for? 15, 25m etc.?

Edit: Any chance of getting a preview version to use in the meantime???

    Thanks

Fantastic timing, for me at least - I sure could use some elevated rail over highway pieces. (Right now they all turn to subways at the highway). Will they also use sloped transition pieces like the NAM's ground rail? I wonder too. if they could dig themselves in so the upper rail is flat and smooth while the terrain around slopes down? That could help alot in making smooth road and highway underpasses. I just can't seem to terriform the tiles to the proper elevations for this, with either the hole digging lots or Shift+a number terrain tools. Got any tutorials laying around that show what positions the ground tiles need to be in for this?

Superb work on the NAM btw!!!

    Gnargenox,

If you want to have an elevated rail over a ground highway, just drag the elevated rail over the highway.

Elevated rail over elevated highway is in the current NAM.    As before drag the elevated rail over it.   You will need to start and finish the drag at some distance from the elevated highway.

You must modify the terrain and use puzzle pieces to make a flat overpass.  Look  here to find out how to do this.

My new puzzle pieces will include OnSlope pieces for monorail and elevated rail that are similar to the current OnSlope piece for rail.
I am glad you like the NAM!

I love the extra high monorail and el rail puzzle pieces.

You guys know whats next dont you? extra high elevated freeway sections. They would very useful if you have a tall bridge with a high approach in a ver built up area. You wouldnt need a long berm, you would just use the onslope and double high pieces to have a elevated freeway other elevated things could go under and would be level with the ground and the top would be level, so you wouldnt need to do any terrian work that would destroy the development around it.
