First we download these little programs.

yes you can install the mod and the maps in this new application, the compatibility you can you'll miss depending on the mode you want to install or as install, remember that each mod or most come with a independence.
 
You have to be able to download the mod with its independence to be able to have their feature completely, also you must remember that the mod files in its vast majority are exe format, and if you install this mod without decompressing or without taking it out of that tie you will have an error or inconsistency.
 
 
 
Let me explain a little about this program called SimCity Show Hidden library. 
 
This program was created to facilitate the operation of the terminal, as the new application of SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition has its files in our library but the library, is hidden in our system and we have access to it, this program allows you to display that folder.
 
SC4Mapper Mac OS X is a program that most of us know . 
 
This program is used to create or install the maps SC4 is a very important program for the Mac users because it is the only thing that we have running to be able to transfer the maps created in sc4.

You only need this information for the App Store version.  The Steam Version uses the Plugins, Regions, and other data in your Documents folder.

I have no idea how to get the plugins to work with the app store version. I've done everything that everyone on this forum has said with no luck. Is the Steam version the same or is it easy like the pc game where I just download, copy, and paste in plugins?

Did you go into the App, open the package contents, and drop everything in to the Plugins Folder?

 

The Steam Version appears to be just like the original disc version, utilizing the Plugins Folder in your Documents folder, making all of this much easier.

That is a wonderful question.   I am not able to open the sc4 mapper OS X file on my mac.   I def regret updating to yosemite!

I downloaded the latest version for windows and created a prefix with Wine. i used the regular setup.exe for the startup and it seems to be working. I'm on 10.10.2
