Can't rendering map - drop down menu doesn't work

I'm having a problem rendering maps in SC4. The region I downloaded shows up in the region menu. I select it and get the flat, green map. But when I ctrl-alt-shift-R, the selection box doesn't work. All I get is this:

 

Does anyone know how to fix it?

AFAIK you have to type the whole file path in the box, starting from Users/xxx/Library/...etc

 

Copy and paste is not working for me so you have to remember the correct path and not mistype

thanks, a.panda, but it doesn't even recognize my cursor in the box, let alone give me the ability to type.  Thoughts?

The easiest way is to use the mapper application on a Windows computer, then send the file to your Mac.

 

Unfortunate, but it is what it is, and it may save you a few hours of aggravation.

Ah, ok. If I open and save it with SC4 Mapper and move it into my Mac Regions folder, will I still need to ctrl-alt-shift-R to render when I load it in SC4, or will it already be rendered like the ones that come with the game?

The region map will show a kind of quick-rendered version of the new region's landscape.  Once you go to the close-up view of an individual city, save and exit back to the region view and you'll see that city as the normal, fully rendered version.  There's an option to automatically reconcile map edges - make sure you turn that off before you zoom in to the close-up view.

 

You'll have to do that with each individual city, but the upside is you don't have to wait for the whole region to render - you're basically doing it one city at a time.

unfortunately, there is no quick-rendered version of the new region. Even having created a test city, i still get this:

Are you seeing the proper terrain within SC4 mapper before you save it?  I've only started using the program recently myself, but once I hit 'create region' and select the proper file type and file, I see the terrain, then do a "save region."  You should end up with a folder containing a small config file and a region.ini plus individual files for each city.  Then drop the folder you created into your Regions folder (the one within your library/containers/com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore/Data/Documents/SimCity 4 folder).

Got it, thanks! I was trying to use the bmp instead of the SC4M file to load the region. It all works now.

Estoy teniendo un problema de representación de mapas en SC4. La región He descargado aparece en el menú de la región. Lo selecciono y sale el, mapa verde plana. Pero cuando me Ctrl-Alt-Shift-R, el cuadro de selección no funciona. Todo lo que consigo es esto:

 

¿Alguien sabe cómo solucionarlo?
