Hey, im currently constructing my very first SimCity and I specialized in Gambling and thus need a lot of tourists.

However, I dont fully understand the meaning of the following Tourism-Stats which are displayed in the lower right corner of the screen once you are in the gambling tab:

Potential Tourists: 1300
5700/4700 Tourists:

1374/1190 low income Tourists
2118/1360 medium income Tourists
2245/2245 high income Tourists

What exactly does that mean?

The number in front of the  /  is supposed to tell me how many Tourists visited me that day I right? But what is the number behind the  /  supposed to mean?

If it displayed 4700/6000 Tourists that would make sense, since I'd have 4700 daily Tourist visits but could have 6000 because of the 1300 potentials.

Any explanation? confused.png

I wouldn't know :) the statistics system in this game is very broken (but that shouldn't affect you).

Just an uninteresting person that plays video games for your falsified amusement.

Just guessing here, nothing to back it up.

Maybe you have +200 low wealth tourists staying in hotels, and 1200 new ones came in to the city, giving you ~1400/1200.

As for potential tourists, I'm gonna guess its tourists who attempted to come to your city but were limited by traffic/airport/train congestion.

Not exactly sure but I will guess also. (# of actual tourists/ # of tourists that you can accommodate). So if that is true, u need to have more accommodations (hotels, etc?) for low & medium wealth.

Potential Tourists: 1300 (This is the number of people at your casino(s) at the time you checked)
5700 (Total # visting)/4700  (Maxium # allowed)Tourists: either you are having over crowding or having high turn over.

1374 (Total # visting)/1190 (Maxium # allowed) low income Tourists
2118 (Total # visting)/1360 (Maxium # allowed) medium income Tourists
2245 (Total # visting)/2245 (Maxium # allowed) high income Tourists

Low wealth sims aren't sensitive to the overcrowding.

Medium wealth are sensitive to overcrowding when it hits a certain point..

High wealth do not like overcrowding at all.

Overcrowding -  expand your casino(s) = high profit(s) from those casino(s)

High turnover -  Fix your city (normally crime and/or lack of tourist stuff) = small profit(s) and/or small loss(es)

High turnover also means visiting sims aren't staying very long, which is bad for commercial.
