What does it look like? I'm not getting enough jobs from my industry and I need to know if I need to zone more or make my industrial parks nicer.

You can use the query tool to see what the kind of building it is.

For high tech you need higher education, parks, no air or water pollution, no landfills close-by, and of course good transit systems.

I have high tech, but I want high-density. Most of the high-tech buildings have about 40 people per. Is there any way to get more and can I see pictures?

Most of the hints I mentioned help with the employment, I use skateboard parks a lot every 20 or so tiles.

I would have to take some screen shots for the images, so check back for those.

EDIT:  If these aren't what you were looking for I could take some more.

High tech comes in medium, and high densities.  All of the above images are high density high tech.

The buildings are actually big compared to in real life, but compared to everything else in the game they are tiny. Some truly high density buildings would be useful in the game, but they would grow like crazy if there was a high I high tech demand. I never have a high tech demand though, and I never even have a big district for it.

For lots of high tech ind. I put all the dirty ind. in different regions and save the high tech for your main city, then your not wasting space on dirty ind. or manufacturing. Your city has to have a certain amount of people before the demand is even there. If you do it right you should have high tech demand go really high. 44.gif

Some of the custom High-Tech industrial have higher job counts. Do a search on the STEX or just scroll through the Industrial section.

To have a really good high tech city, plant trees and parks around it. To make sure it will grow even better, make sure the the freight trip to ports or neighbouring cities is short9.gif

trees are one of the best things you can do to transform from dirty and manufacturing to high tech.  I usually use the god-mode cheat and spend a few minutes just sitting there letting trees grow on my dirty industry - after a while they start to build high tech (as long as the demand is there).

I can't ever to prevent high tech from growing. Sometimes I want dirty industry and manufacturing for reality and they always change to high tech. It is always the largest group of all my industry and always have demand for more.

It's pretty easy to keep them from growing, just raise the taxes high enough to keep them out.

You can create high-density high tech industry by making your own lots. However, the original game doesnt offer much for high density HTI.

    Who would want it anyways.

Use toroca's insustrial quadruplier to get mroe jobs out of your indy.
