Randomly started not saving cities

Hi guys

I've had Sim City 4 for a while and it's only just started coming up with the following error.

I have attached a picture of the issue.

As far as I know, this hasn't been caused by any addons or such as it's started doing it a while after I last downloaded anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all

Hmmm, never seen that one before.  Try uninstalling and re-installing the game (be sure to copy your plugins and regions first so you don't lose them).

It would also be a good idea to hit your system with a good round of maintenance.  All the scans, clean-up programs, defragment the hard drive, that stuff.

How about a little disk maintenance!  You may simply have run out of space because you are not running the necessary maintenance for an NTFS file system.  You should run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter weekly.

This can happen if your city file is corrupted.  The city will load fine, but when you try to save it, you get that message.  In certain cases, this can be fixed by removing suspected plugins from your city.  Overly extensive networks (generally subways) can also cause this problem.
