 I couldn't find a SUGGESTION Forum here (I thought they used to have one), so I opened this topic here. I hope it's in a correct forum.

 

I've been playing SC4SE for years and every once in awhile I think of something which might be "neat" to add to the game.  I've listed 3 of them below.  I am not a graphic person, so I would have to leave all  that up to someone else.

 

 

#1 - While delivering a paying customer to the Airport in my cab, I just fly through the red lights if it's possible.  Is there anyway to make a MOD where a cab, bus, etc. would be FORCED to stop at a red light until it changes green?  It would add a bit more reality to the game.

 

 

#2 - After seeing the "King of the World" BAT on here (another "neat" idea), how about something like that where your own graphic could be added?  The size could be around 50'-75' high or so.  I'd like to see my pic in one of my cities - lol.

 

 

#3 - I don't know if it's possible, but how about some sort of large clock-face on the front of a building (dept. store, shopping center, etc.)?  The clock would coincide with the time in the game, not the computer's clock.

#1 is indeed a nice idea. It would make the infrastructural challenges much harder because you have to take into account that traffic lights slow down traffic. However, sadly this isn't possible. The traffic simulator simulates rush hour commute without considering traffic lights, those are just placed for cosmetic reasons. It would also be quite hard because you have to take other things into account as well, like safety and accidents (otherwise you could avoid this problem easily by removing every traffic light (if possible). 

 

#2 and #3 are possible. I don't think that the game has a specific time (I thought only dates) but it would be possible to build a clock on buildings with a bit 3DSmax skills, it might be worth looking at the Simcity 4 batting school forum. I have no experience with this forum but it looks kind of cool.

 

Another thing that I would like in the game is the option of a third destination (next to work and home), like the store or something like that. However, this is also impossible because the game isn't made with this goal (I guess you should hardcode something in the game if you really want to and that's illegal) but it's still nice to talk about it.
