Hmm. I understood that it was possible to have an online account and be under 13 with appropriate parent permission. Site rules, of course, are different from US law, which is fine.

 

If Blue Lightning's age listed on his profile at SC4Devotion is to be taken accurately, then I guess as long as you keep your mouth shut... (he would have been 12 when he made his accoutn here, but if he'd like to stop by and correct me).

 

At any rate, the age range here seems to widely vary when it comes to active members, though I've heard that most of the site's demographic is between 16 and 24. Need I mention much of the best content for the game, and a lot of the very high quality CJs seem to belong to people outside that age range? Simgoober, Paeng, and Nonny (for the forums) seem to be the most obvious examples. I think the same goes for SC4Devotion as well, though the technical nature of the site might make that a given.

 

I fall within the expected demographic, at any rate. Currently in college.

 

 

That's correct, I was an active member when I was about 12.5. There were hoops that had to be jumped through for me to be permitted to stay during the span when I was under 13.

Well-behaved youngsters have been accepted on these boards in the past, and may be in the future.  Lots of tweens are mature for their age, so it becomes a matter of being quiet about it, eh?  If I make it to October this year, I'll be 77, which is rather a lucky number and the product of two primes.  Aiming to pass my grandmother who made it to 98.

I agree I try to contribute as much as I can and offer my opinion on particular topics and subjects. A lot of people on Simtropolis are under the age of 20 anyway
