Help With a Dependency

For the past hour, I've been searching for 25 dependencies for one SG building (kind of ridiculous, but I like this building). Everything was going good, and I even already had a few of them, but one in particular is giving me trouble. 

 

BSC MEGA Props JENX Vol01

 

I am able to download it from the LEX, and everything works, but when I get to the installer, nothing comes out of that. I've tried it with JENX Vol 2 and had the same problem. I have only had this problem with this dependency. It's as if the installer contains nothing in it.

 

Any help would be great.

I just tested the installer and it works, it uploaded the dat file 'BSC MEGA Props - JENX Vol01' into the directory specified by the installer. Either you have something wrong with your computer or you didn't check where the file went to- it should have gone to Documents/Simcity 4/Plugins/BSC/BSC Props, if you didn't alter the installer's directory that is.

 

Finally do you use 7zip or Winrar?

It's definitely not anything with the directory. I use the same method for installers on everything I download - and it has worked without any problem on everything since, except this pack. 

 

I gave it a shot just letting it create its own directory and then I went there and copied and pasted what I needed into where I wanted it to go and that seems to have worked. Weird.

It's ALWAYS best to let the installer create its own directory and then move the file(s) to your own custom directory. But at least you've now got that DAT file.

The link given is for a non-existent file on the STEX.  You need to get this from the LEX at SC4Devotion.  Two registrations required, both free.

Just a word of caution: In some cases, SG listed all dependencies the BSC ever used, so you see a list of 25 dependencies, but need only 3. Read the readme carefully.
