The only real problem with the roundabouts is the median, it's 3/4 black and 1/4 gray with an awkward yellow line through it.

That's not a real problem... just a visual imperfection due to the game's lack of understanding for what looks good 3.gif

Here's a large roundabout I attempted a couple of months ago... It links up 8 avanues from all directions. I must say, it was hard to get it perfect, especially to get the size right. But as you can see, there is traffic on all the avenues 2.gif

This is a proof of concept (IE, I figure out how to make the damn thing before inserting it), but in New England we too are familiar with the rotary.

I recently did the US 5/MA 57 rotary for the South End Bridge, but that's not being posted today. This is much more visually appealing - Springfield's Memorial Park and US 5/US 20 interchange rotary with approach to the North End Bridge.

    Behold the original:

    And the SC4 greated goodness:

Is it me, or has there been a update on the NAM?

Cause I am not familiar that kind of on/off ramps are not on my version of the NAM.   11_29_04 with stack addon 02_09_05

    Help?

I mean those ones 3 x 2 that go directly to a oneway <=> highway.

The ones that go straight from ramp to one-way are for elevated highways only. A bummer. 7.gif Hopefully they'll be in for ground highways in the next release (These are under perpendicular ramps, oddly enough, but they're great for parallels too, as you can see).

I tried to make such junctions in the game, but they look ugly to me... It's just not possible to make it look realistic and good-looking. That is not your fault, so no offence 2.gif

I'd like to see someone make a SC4 version of Spaghetti Junction in Birmingham.

This is kinda off topic, but how do you all get your one-way roads to bend? I can only make them go straight! What's the secret?

From what I can gather, you can't convert curved roads into one way roads. You have to lay the one-way roads first (you should be able to have diagonal/curved etc roads o-w roads), and them connect them to the rest of your network.

I don't think any of the BATters for the NAM have sufficient psychiatric benefits to attempt this. HA !

Believe in only what you can prove.

    Beautiful job pcsurgeon. Isn't it a shame though that SC4 lots/buildings can't face a diagonal road/avenue ?

Since everyone was showing off theirs, I found no reason not to show mine,

Man, I live in Los Angeles--where the mind-bendingly bizarre interchange was invented (see: East Los Angeles, Kellogg, I-105/I-110 interchanges)--and my brain still hurts just thinking about trying to design that.
