Street textures

Hello guys,

 

I started simcity today after downloaded lots of new plug ins. What I see is street textures I don't like, it are red textures at the most places but on some parts of roads/street/avenues and even roundabouts are white pieces, which I do like. I'll make a screenshot tomorrow but maybe somebody know what I mean? Which file I have to delete?

Have you ever tried to search in your plugins folder keywords like "road texture", "street texture." Or maybe, if you're talking about sidewalks, search for "sidewalk".

If you can put a picture would be better.

Did you remember if you download your plugins here, on Simtropolis? Because there's a Download History option on ST/Exchange tab.

No, could be STEX could be LEX, because of the amount of plugins I downloaded it could be every one .

I think there's a Download History on LEX too. I'm saying this because maybe you can find what plugin is this just looking the names of the plugins you downloaded. There are a lot of plugins to make your sidewalk this texture, and I don't know if I can find the right, maybe another member knows..but I'll try.

You have some type of sidewalk override from the looks of it. Which one, I couldn't tell you - but you should be able to find it by going through your plugin folder. Remove half of your plugins and start the game - if the sidewalks are still there, then remove another chunk of plugins until you narrow it down to the culprit. Good luck.

You've admitted to the cardinal sin of downloading.  Too many to control and test with any sanity.  If the cited plugin is not your problem, here is what you can do:

 

1. Sort your plugins by date of file creation.
    
2. Remove all the latest ones to another folder.
    
3. Put them back in smaller sets, testing each time.  When you find the offender, remove the last set, and put the rest back.  Test again, just in case there is more than one problem.
    
4. Now put the members of the offending set in one at a time, testing after each add.  When you find the offender, delete it and put the rest back.

 

Don't have any more download parties.  The exchanges are not going away anytime soon.  Always test after a few adds.
