Trouble Downloading Certain Mods

You need a lot of free space.  I typically tell people if they don't have 2gb free, they need to cleanup.

So, if you get rid the sharing and can clean it up, you probably will get better performance across the board.  Make sure you defrag the disk ASAP once you do a big cleanup...usually very full disk = very fragmented disk also....

OK then.  This will hopefully all work after Christmas.  10 days.

OK, so the transfer of the other data is happening today, and I have one final question. Should I expect things to work automatically, or do I need to install the things that didn't work previously again? Thanks for the help.

Never mind. The other person doesn't like the laptop, and will .be returning it, worry, but that looks like either an at least month long delay or game over.

    This thread is risen!

Anyway, I FINALLY got around to fixing this.  I'm up to 300 GB, which is good.  That, and many of the downloads now work.  Several Simgoober mods, for example are now working.  Others, like the rest of his, the Cathedrals for instance still are not appearing.  My theory is that when I downloaded the dependencies before I had the free space, they didn't work because of that.  Now that I do, I tried to extract all like any other mod again.  This seems to somewhat work.  I also deleted a file I had previously downloaded, and then fetched it from the STEX once more.  Download it, and boom!  It's here!  I liked that, and tried it with the Church Pack.  Didn't show up ingame.  I do happen to know from personal experience if something is missing a dependency and that dependency is downloaded, the former still works ingame.

BTW, thank you for the help, last December and now.  Thank you.
