Stop worrying, Mayor!

Insure your city’s buildings with the awesome Progressive office. If your city is hit by a disaster while you're insured, you will get a percentage back of the cost of any city buildings you've lost. Adjust your insurance coverage to fit your play style — will you live dangerously or play it safe? Shoppers in your city will be happy to shop at the Progressive office. Insurance for your city? Now that's Progressive.

GAME FEATURES:

Insure City Buildings: No one likes having to re-purchase buildings you have plopped in your city when they're destroyed by a disaster. With the Progressive office, you can insure your buildings and get some money back if you're hit by a disaster.

Choose Your Coverage: By default, your city buildings are covered at 50%, but you can adjust how much coverage you have, from 0% to 90%. Your premium cost will of course adjust with your coverage.

Sims Shop at Progressive: Your Sims will feel safe and happy after visiting the Progressive Office.

Missions for Flo: Complete two new missions as Flo helps you insure your city.

For those of us who are plagued with that pesky monster, or inconvienced with a nulcear meltdown we are no longer forced to shoulder the full cost of rebuilding.

For those who refuse to pay for insurance, well do it at your own risk.

The DLC is free!

Flo has come to town ;-)

I for one welcome the ability to insure my buildings.

I've had this DLC since the first day it came out.  When I opened up Origin to play SimCity it said "new content available" and I got it.  Best part is it's free to get this DLC.

Anyways I use it in all my cities with 90% coverage, which is the most you can have and only $9,000 per month ($375 per hour) no matter how big your city is or how many buildings your city has, that's very cheap for a big city.

In one of my cities my total pay back was over $2mil and in other cities it never gets used.  It just depends on how many disasters you have and if they hit any of the buildings you paid for.  I think it also counts as a commercial building too and it's free to place.

Btw who doesn't like Flo? (also comes with two new in game missions that you get from Flo)

Although if you turn disasters off it's kinda pointless to have.

It also adds business to your city as well.

I just noticed today when seeing if I could preload the expansion pack.

Also Airships are now $5 as well.

The mini update I downloaded fixed my great works issue in my region.

What a good day to power up Simcity.

Gee, usually that just means I have to step extra carefully around my wife and daughters for a week or so.

Adding: You can't just click "store", it's not listed with the other addons yet.  I got it through clicking the billboard on the main menu when the progressive ad came up.

On my end it listed right along side all the other DLC, that is how I discovered it.

I'm seeing the ad for this DLC in the game billboard and it's free as well. The origin store doesn't take me to a page so I can download this. Did they cancel it?

As I understand it, it was only available for a limited time. Other free dlc might be limited available as well.

You're not missing out on much. It's a medium density commercial building. But you can buy an insurance that pays at disasters.

Actually I find it to be quite profitable, since the slighest disaster will pay out.

Sure, but money has never really been a problem for me in this SC.

The same goes for 3000 as well.

I´m missing the link to this free DLC as well. I click on the main menu´s billboard but it takes me no where :( It´s not an essential content but it would be cool to have a different building!

I have a double issue there since when I click on the billboard in game I keep getting this annoying "origin in game has been disabled in the origin client which is wrong since it is in fact clicked on. But be that as it may, I found information that as of July/2014, Flo is a no go and has been removed which sucks, as I've been sick and out of town for well over a year and missed out on it by barely 1+months. But your post at least did answer 1 part of my problem in that, regardless of my in game client blah blah issues, it seems it wouldn't matter anyway as I couldn't get it and I hope my post answers yours as to why when you click it it goes nowhere. I've asked EA/Maxis to please allow it to return, even briefly for some of us who are either new or in my case have been indisposed and missed out on it even if just for a short period, but not surprisingly, like just about any and all inquiries of any sort, it has gone unanswered much less unacknowledged. Would be nice to turn the disaster menu back on again knowing that despite the disastrous mayhem that ensues(which is actually fun to watch), at least there is a recourse waiting for us at the end of it to ease the pain.

    It is a cool building.

You get an insurance pay out every time a building is destroyed, provided it is insured.

Also Simcity 2000 Special Edition is out on Origin now.

Oh well, not much of a loss anyway... What I really want is the More Landmarks mod to work :P

You'll get the landmarks after I get the remaining Arcologies from Simcity 2000.
