Screen Size Anomoly

Hi, am very new here so apologies if this is in the wrong place. I have looked in the forum but cannot find an answer to my problem.

ONLY when running Sim City 4 + Rush Hour does my screen shrink and I have a black border running either side of the game area thereby greatly reducing gaming area. When using any other programme this does not happen. I have played with all monitor settings to the best (and limited) of my abilities.

In the shortcut for the game, put the following:

 

-CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1200

 

Replace the 1920x1200 with your laptop's resolution if it's different.

If you are also new to computers, the option goes after the last quote in the pathname but must have one space before the hyphen.

And if you're not comfortable with the extensions, you can always use one of the SC4 Launchers that take care of all the extension parameters for ya with one click.
