RouteQuery Problem

I've actually never seen the route query do what your image is showing.  Did you make some major change to your transportation network?  ROFLyoshi is probably right though, just give it some time and the route query will settle down.

That's a real classic you have there.  The green line is a fine example of the rare but cherished "Querway to Heaven".

And yes, they will go away with time.

    Cheers guys,

Fingers crossed it will; as it still hasn't yet - and I've just run the simulation for 8 hours.

Otherwise, it might have to do with a lot I've put in.......

Yes, certain transit lots can cause these things to happen.  When the traffic simulator's pathfinder makes its way through a lot's transit switch point, certain transit switch points can trigger bugs in the traffic simulator that produce what you showed.  If those strange paths don't go away, the transit lot may or may not be working properly.

Instead of the route query, try the drawpaths command (extra cheats dll).  Should pinpoint the problem point.

Hi Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, route query hasn't fixed itself - so it would have to be a custom lot I place somewhere.

How do you read the DrawPath tool?

    Cheers

Another interesting thing is that my neighbouring tiles don't have this problem,

I think it's very likely the custom subway lot I installed a couple of weeks ago. (sigh, took me an hour to replace the original subway systems manually)

If you have managed to turn on drawpaths, then the result is obvious.  Just look at where the arrows take you.  If they wander off, this should show where the root of the problem begins by tracing backwards.  To turn if off use hidepaths.  drawpaths is not much concerned with the type of automaton involved.

Remember, when installing something you should test it in a sandbox scenario before you make a major commitment to it.  I would be extra careful when replacing something that is built in to the NAM.
