Using SC4 Deluxe Disc 1 & 2

I currently play SC4 using the disk's.  I know you can play online but I want to play without internet access many times.

 

Does anyone know if your able to copy the contents of disk 2 and download them on your computer without having to always load the disk on your cd rom when you want to play.

Appreciate anyone's advice on this

Yes.  You need some more software.  Look on the net for virtual disk software.

 

You can copy your disks (anyone can make backups) on to your hard disk in the format required by your virtual disk software (there are several products), then mount disk 2 as a CD.  From there, you are disk free.

 

Why do you think you need the Internet to play?  This is a stand alone game.

It's acceptable to make a copy of software / games for sole personal use. I did this recently, using CloneCD (free trial) to create the image, and Virtual CloneDrive (free) for the mounting. Once done, this will be recognised as a physical drive on your PC, and the game can be run as normal.

Thank you both for your wonderful advice,  It look me a  few hours to finally get the ISO file but it now works perfectly.

 

I am disk free and now can play without using a CD ROM. 

 

Having a digital copy on my hard drive is what I ultimately wanted!!!
