Rural Roads Intersection Idea/Project

I was wondering if it was possible to make a piece that "ruralifyed" intersections between roads and avenues in a puzzle piece. For instance this puzzle piece could remove the traffic lights from an AVE x RD intersection by having a 2x1 piece plopped over the top of the intersection. I don't know if this is even possible but I thought it might be an idea. If it is possible will it require new coding or does it just need existing code edited.

Thanks Durfsurn

This is possible, quite easily actually compared to other puzzle pieces, but you need the following:

1. A new puzzle piece model (can be generated), paths (can be copied over from said intersection), EffDir (can be generated), Exemplars (can be generated), LTEXT file (can be generated). The generator can be found here: http://www.jmvl.nl/simcity4/otmt/ppm.php

2. You need some new RUL0 entries.

More information about the subject can be found here:

Okay. Thats good. So I need to create a puzzler piece texture/copy the existing first? Then create the puzzle piece using that tutorial? Then Ill need to learn about RUL0 coding and how to edit the properties of the puzzle piece to remove the traffic lights. Is there a tutorial or place where I can learn about RUL0 coding? Finally if a I modify the texture to make it more rural willit need to be re-pathed?

    Thanks Durfsurn

How about making RuRP draggable? Because it's supposed to be used for long stretches...

An interesting idea.  Make the dashed lines into a new NWM network.  Then you could have overpass support.  I doubt the RRP has been worked with in a while, but I think this is worth mentioning in the request thread.

Which SimCity dat file would I find RD x RD (Ortho), AVE x RD (Ortho), AVE x AVE (Ortho) textures?

Then I just follow the puzzle piece tutorial and then work out which parts of RUL0 needs to be edited to remove the traffic lights? Sounds Good.
