This is the first topic I started on Simtropolis 4.gif.

Imagine that the quake that devastated LA destroyed most of it. Thats where this region picks off.

New Alexandria is a sprawling metropolis based on Los Angeles (thanks to whoever made the region) It's my biggest region in population and size. Like LA , the main transportation is Highways. Here's the Region pic:
NewAlexandriasmall.jpg

This is a 800 by 300 image and the original size was approx. 3000 by 1000! Imagine how big it is! Right now, it consists of 7 cities. Much More to come very soon. All comments welcome!!

BTW, this is not a recreation of LA and no radical mods were used.

    I meant more like a forum i started. 14.gif

Anyways, the region has 1544567 residential ,650128 Commerical, and 372548 Industrial Population.

The first city in the region is Dayport, a industrial and shipping center.
This is how it looked from the beginning:
    Dayport1.jpg

Notice the outline of canals and the cliff that separates the two districts.

Here's what it looks like now:

That region looks fine even if there is abandonment.

I simply adore the industrial region.

The repetitiveness in the downtown district needs some adjusting in my opinion.

Here's a look at the main port of the region. It is located in the approximate location as the port in LA (i don't know what it's called).

A closer look at the industrial district.
    Industrial.jpg

All these ports are either at capacity or near capacity. There are about 15 to 20 ports in all. Thanks to Pegasus (i think) for these beautiful waterfront lots and port mods, Dayport has a functional and realistic port

These are the bridges which connect the mainland to the industrial islands:

This part of the canal has the highest pollution level in the country. All the filth from the four major cities go therough here.

Sorry for the double-post; I can't seem to include more images in a single post.
    The current downtown area:
    downtown.png

It follows a majorly wide road named Commerce Center Blvd.

    The soon-to-be new financial district:

It will have many headquarters for shipping companies and trade corporations.

Thanks for the comments and more are welcome.

Geez, I thought navigating the traffic circles in Washington was tough! 27.gif I love all those different kinds of bridges in one pic. Looks good so far, definitely has its own character. 1.gif

Hopefully Dayport's sims won't get into too much accidents.3.gif

This is the last few pictures from Dayport.
Here's a one from the Western residential neighborhood. The double expressways are part of the Alexandria Turnpike:

Here's the brand new and ritzy neighborhood Audale, couple of miles north:

This is the last picture of dayport taken on the way to Centurion City, its western financial giant, on the Alexandria Tpke:

Look forward to the next installment of my CJ: Centurion City.
Right now, I'm working on finishing up Dayport and its eastern neighbor: Orange Grove.
