When I plopped the lots there were all the flags on both sides of the road but when I reopened the city, in the same session, the flags on the right had disappeared. I tried to restart SC4 but the flags were still missing

Never had flags before myself.

Go back to the file where you downloaded it and look to see if there were any dependencies you missed.

If not, then it's probably your graphic settings. A lot of things down there look like an 8-bit video game. Ramp up your settings and see if that works.

I have this problem with other lots too, and if there are missing dependancies the flags shouldn't appear either to the left side of the road because the two lots are equal

In that case it's probably your graphics settings. Set them to a higher quality and see what happens. If not then I can't think of anything else to help you.

What changed between the two instances?  I suggest you close the game and boot your machine.  Things don't disappear on their own.

I bought a new PC and restarted from scratch to build the city, going forward I noticed that some lots and props have begun to disappear. After some tests I understood that the problem begins when the city file exceeds the dimension of about 42MB, how is it possible?

My largest city with a population over 800K Sims and pretty much all land occupied takes only around 15MB.  How did you ever get a city that size on disk?

Anyway, if your city is on disk you may be running out of disk space altogether and are losing extents.  When was the last time you defragmented your disk drives?

Disk storage is not infinite and there is a problem in NTFS which makes it even less so.  If you run out of slots in the Master File Table (MFT) funny things like this can happen.  The defragmentation program helps to correct this, and should be run weekly.  What size is your disk drive?

I don't know why the file is so big, maybe because I downloaded a lot of plugins and so I don't use any Maxis building, the worst thing is that I built only half of the city.

My PC has Windows 8.1 which automatically defragments the disk (452GB) weekly.

This is just a guess, but I have seen similar issues in other games when loading far too many custom HD models for a given gfx video card. With a 42MB city, you may have exceeded your card's abilities and it's cropping that which it can't render. Try unloading a bunch of 'stuff' and see if what's left renders properly or not.

Alternately, some content providers actually supply low density models in addition to the HD models. If you have that option, try using more low D models when available.

That's a point.  Also, it may be possible that your tables in memory are being trimmed because you have overflowed them.  How big is your Plugin suite on disk?  How many files are there?  Do you have a very long load time (more than five minutes)?

If you have the current NAM (Windows only), it should have applied the 4GB patch which raises the memory limit for user programs to 3GB from 2GB for 32-bit programs.  However, I don't think the O/S can page this application in the true virtual memory sense.  It's either in memory or not, and doesn't use a proper backing store.

I was used to play in windowed mode for my convenience, but playing in full screen mode the problem seems solved, maybe because in windowed mode my PC uses integrated graphics card, which is very bad, but in full screen mode it can use the better one

Windowed mode does add some serious overhead.  That may be the problem, but beware of continuing to add plugins.  You seem to be hovering around the limits.  Using DATpacker won't help this problem if you are running out of table space.

Seems to be a problem unique to you.  I wish we had the source for this program, but we don't.  If you have a dump in your Exception Reports folder, please post only the first 20 lines and we'll see if anything shows up in the prefix.  The rest of the dump is garbage.

Ive just experience the same thing but i dont know if the roads around it were the culprit.    All "TALL" buildings in my game sudently dissapeared or corrupted.  only the base remain. (thats where ive been, cleaning up plugins, trying to save the game and not lose my history in the event it was a corrupted saved city version - and rollig back, but its not)

ive had to go thorugh and bulldoze to get a different bldg to grow back in its place.  but the lots that were impacted are gone.  even when i plop the bldg, its gone.  Ive tried reintalling the lot from a download but the reinstalled lot doesnt reappear .

The dump shows the downloaded version of the game on Windows 8.  Pretty normal and the usual type of crash.

There was a suggestion of Prop Pox, which could be something worth looking into.  I am unaware of any fix once you have this disease.  Seems to be mainly caused by overloading your plugins.

I think the latter part of what youve said may just be it!   I have over the lmited size in my plugins where LotEditor wont load.  I will do a sweep and chec out that PropPox link too.

I plopped some buildings with all graphic settings to the minimum, when I reopen the city still with the graphics to the minimum some buildings disappear, but if I open with the graphic settings to the maximum everything seems to work fine, we'll see if this is the solution

I will look into the program tonight
