If it is on U-Tube I'd take it with a grain of salt about the size of the Pentagon.  Aliens, shmaliens.  So NORAD was showing a few Finns around or something like that.  Conspiracy theories belong in the round file beside the desk.

Sounds very plausible...

Makes me think of all the conspiracy video's about the Illuminati and the Olympic Games in London. That was going to be a real bloodbath, the evidence was abundant, it was so clear! Yeah, right.

It's not because he was once a minister in Canada that he is right. Crazy people are found in all layers of society.

For those of us who don't have the time to sit and watch through 25-minute videos... anybody care to give a summary? Starting a thread like this is to directly invite people to discussion, and simple etiquette means the first post should include some explaination about what the discussion is about.

It looks like it's about aliens allegedly working for the US government. In which case I ask... why is the US government still so very much like most other governments in terms of efficiency, and not far, far above everybody else? You'd think super advanced aliens (they would have to be super advanced to get here in the first place) would bring some awesome benefits that would allow the US to unify its population, allow it to collect any information it wanted - untraceably, of course - or help it solve any foreign issue or some other things it would be largely impossible for simple earthlings to do. Still, things seem to be done just as terrestrially in the US as in the rest of the world, albeit on a slightly larger scale due to the amount of money and people working there.

There are no aliens. Except if you can include the unintelligent creatures that live on planets around around stars in proximity to the solar system.

Its not you sitting watching 25 minute videos its the people sitting in that audience taking that seriously that worries me.

Interesting fact 80% of the audience including Paul Hellyer were wearing Velcro shoes

Now, now, are we talking the space kind of aliens or the illegal kind? If its space aliens, then that's just absurd however, I wouldn't be surprised if illegal aliens were on the payroll...

Paul Hellyer apparently also has a beef with Stephen hawking but I think it may be low on hawkings list of priorities

Paul Hellyer used to be a pretty good old bus, but he now has a full set of flat tires.

I think it shows the prestige of the Canadian military and didn't we recently have a general that was convicted for killing women?

There are bad apples in every barrel.  At least one serial burglar, and a serial killer in the armed forces.  You'd wonder how they ever got in considering the requirements.

On the other hand, the Canadian army corps in WW I made us as a country.  Look up the battle of Vimy Ridge.  Oh, and in 1945 we had the third largest navy in the world.  We built a lot of corvettes for convoy duty.  Next time you see a serving soldier or a vet, remember to thank him for his service.

I like our army people, but if people like say snowden get executed I certainly would not join with them and may not like them anymore. My grandpa was army so was most of his family WW1 and WW2 but that was a different time then we live in now. There are a lot of conspiracy theorists these days on the new media we have the internet that seem to be telling us constantly that our government is evil (alex jones, paul hellyer, ron paul) whether they are right or not I really don't know, but they have certainly made me a more of a self focused person 'whats in it for me'. and maybe its good for people to be that way. In WW1 and certainly on D-Day a lot of young men were ordered to die in which they had little control over their own fate. Not to mention the numbers of civilians murdered by government decisions in war. I think in history the Greeks and the European Monarchs and early/ civil war America those that usually fought in war and lead the troops were those that had the most at stake in their society (wealth, slaves, power etc.) beginning in the 20th century I think we adopted this thing were powerful politicians sit back while poor surplus young men in both countries killed each other hmmmm... good way to stop a labour movement or having to get people jobs. I know in my grandpa's case he was very poor and the depression had wiped out most farmers and industry, I'm sure most young men in the 30's did not like being poor army was a way out. Then you got people like conspiracy theorists saying it was deliberately done by government. Believe me no Exxon Mobil shareholders fought in Iraq.

Try being married for 20 years and losing her in a surgical accident.  One of those things that fell through the cracks, and really nobody's fault.  C'est la vie.
