RTMT Issue

I am currently running SC4 Deluxe downloaded recently from Amazon. I added NAM and am trying to get RTMT to work with it as well. I have downloaded the RTMT Version 3.50 and am confused as to installing it. If I read the ReadMe file right, I assume I would just plop the unzipped RTMT folder into the SimCity plug-in folder under My Documents\SimCity4 and delete the UK, Euro and NAM Capacity files except the Standard files. Did I misread it? The icons for building my Roadtop bus, sub and bus/sub stops are not showing up in my building menu. I've gotten it to work before on my DVD-ROM based version, but have forgotten how I did it. Can someone please explain how to make RTMT work? I've tried leaving all files in, I've tried dropping just the required file straight into the plug in folder and the aforementioned deleting all files except the ones I need for the US version.

Sounds like you're using the Since you only mentioned the icon issue, you might check that you have removed the file named "RTMV3_MML". This provides an MML lot in the menu that must be plopped to unlock the other menu items. If you do not want this feature, you can remove that file from the RTMT folder without any negative effect.

 

As for other things, there is an that might be easier to use if other issues occur. Also, RTMT 3.50 is not the most recent version of this set. There is a available that can be obtained to upgrade the 3.50. If you do get the 3.60 addon, be sure to read through the set up steps carefully. It involves a bit of file change-over and also includes one of the MML files.

Hopefully, a new version of this product will appear sometime soon with a better installer.  I am not much anymore for technical struggles with the likes of version 3.60.  I've done it once, and I'd rather not ever have to repeat that again.

Beta 4 has an installer, if you have updated the NAM recently then you will have a good idea of how its going to work, as to a release date most of the RTMT Team are tied up with NAM testing at the moment so I can't give you any kind of timeframe as to when Version 4.0 is going to be released.

Thanks Catty.  Bring on the day.  NAM testing will be ongoing yet for a long time, I'm afraid.  The present public beta seems to be dying down, but you never can tell.

It's basically me who's holding things up.  I'm still going to be working a little while longer on some basic support for transit stations that's gradually been introduced into the NAM recently, but after the foundation for that is firmly set, it's back to full time at RTMT, and the rest of the RTMT team will be joining me as well.
