Hello, I am just wondering what map here in the STEX has the most large city tiles. I'm trying to make the largest and most populated city In my region, but I want more city tiles without destroying the actual map. What map in the STEX has the largest number of large city tiles? (Be sure to add the link and number of (large) city tiles it has! ;))

It HAS to be this map:

It's not a region, it's a small country! It's the largest map on the STEX available at this moment, measuring an mindwhopping 106.496km x 155.648km (16.6 million km2)! That's 26 x 38 = 988 (!) large city tiles! I think that map might even be too big for you...

Thanks! Now I can build my cities in EXTRA LARGE form! Not sure if my computer has enough cowbell to handle this, though :P

I think you can make any map into large tiles only.  Open up the file in ms paint or something and then color the whole thing blue.  Then let it render and it should be ALL large tiles.

I haven't tried this yet with a downloaded map rendering from grayscale, but I have made my own maps the old fashioned way in-game and you can set all tiles to large.

I think you can only do this if you have the greyscale file - if you just change the config.bmp it will flatten the whole region or at least the tiles that were changed. Unless there is a tool to rerender existing maps that you are thinking of and I do not know of. :)

If you want to manipulate an existing map without a gray scale terrain layout, try the sc4terraformer.  Sorry, I don't have a link.
