2.0 pollution problem resolved/tweaked?

I loaded up for a short play period this morning and saw a small update process.  Since the 2.0 pollution has been the biggest problem for me the first thing I checked was pollution.  I brought up the air pollution map and then watched for a few days and after the existing pollution blew off things got better and my sick population dropped from ~115 to ~80.  The downwind stuff is being properly polluted and some light pollution does pop up occasionally in other parts of the city free of industry but overall I'm seeing significantly less pollution randomly generate.  Before the random pollution would pop up so frequently that it would overlap the previous random pollution and create some thick brown pollution but that's no longer happening.  I checked this in another neighboring city and the same was true there as well.

It sure would be nice if they let us know when they tweak stuff.  Can anybody else confirm this?

Well forget what I said above because the horrid pollution has once again blanketed my cities and in my primary city of interest I'm back to 150 sick and 10 dead per day.  Garbage monster just paid me a visit as well.  I'm getting so tired and bored of bulldozing buildings because of sickness/germs and planting trees in some poor attempt to mitigate the pollution.

Yes - it is better now.

Thanks for telling us! Now we can build in peace.

Sorry to burst your bubble Galactic but when I played last night it came roaring back and was decimating my city.  How the *bleep" am I supposed to manage a city when I can't make any sense of the pollution.  I had decided to switch two different wealth levels areas of my city to have residents who'd better tolerate being downwind from ~5-6 medium density, medium tech industry thinking the other area would be more or less safe but no.  Now it's back to sickness, death, bulldozing, and the lizard. RAGE!
