Writing this article made me sad. I want SimCity to be great, but the 2.0 patch feels like launch week all over again. I've lost my favorite city, and ever since the announcement that SimCity Social is being shut down, I've worried that SimCity might suffer the same fate.

Surely  are not alone ... Just browse through the servers of the game to get a sense that the small sample of XFIRE and RAPTR'S reflects the reality on the decrease of playing time.

That's so true, I've cut my playing time by about 70 percent, not only because of the bugs but the fact that it takes me 4 hours to build my city, and nothing left to do. They took away my highways, my elevate rail, they took away my creativity, giving me these tiny maps. There is hardly space for anything. To be honest this is not even a simulation of anything.

I love to tinker and build my cities in detail and even now im only managing to get a days worth of gameplay out of one city.....  I still enjoy it but its dissapointing... I wish region play would offer so much more...

I wish they offered a few maps that let you work on your own with a single city.  I never liked the switch to region play that started in SC4.  I was happy with one place, one city.

Now that you mention it, I wouldn't be surprised if the first larger city tile turns out to be in a single city region...
