Scrolling Information Window

I was wondering if there was a way to prevent the scrolling information window from displaying any if not all information. The only reason I ask is it seems to constantly tell me that I need something (ex. cemetery, city hall etc.) when I have already plopped all that is available to me.

 

With everything going on I tend to forget if I placed one or not and then have to search and find.

 

If not then I will live but would be nice to have one less distraction, especially being newish.

It basically prevents any 'unnecessary' news items from being displayed, while still allowing the important ones.
