newbie question from a city building game fan

Hi, before I buy the game, I need to be clear about these questions, please help me on this. 8)

1. Do the game really create citizen in the city? like the feature in Tropico 4  that we can look into some life detail of each citizen, or City XL  just generate some visual of people walking on streets similar to Anno 2070?

2. Do we have people animation in the game other than street walking animation? I'm quite disappoint with City in Motion 2 that we can only see people walking in town and do nothing else.

3. If I buy City XL 2012 Platinum, do I need to download any community mod to fix the game bug? or the last patch already cover most of the problem issues?

4. Do the game force player to build large city with high amount of people? Anno 2070 won't let us build new type of building unless we make our city have more people.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my English.

1.No, the game does not create individual personalities for the residents of your city. Unlike SC4 where you have your "sims" in your city, with XL12 you get some people walking through, but will be given levels of satisfaction with

2. It does, admittedly.

3. I'm not the one t ask on that, my apologies.

4. No, you can successfully maintain a small town if that's what pleases you. you can build a huge city, industrial zone, farmland, small town. Mid size city, goes on and on.

Your English is fine, BTW :)

Certain buildings are locked until a population threshold, but I believe there are mods available to unlock them.

All you must do to remove those population requirements for certain buildings, roads, and civic services is to enable "Expert Mode" in the options menu. With those restrictions removed you can build anything at any population.

Regardless of what you want to build, however, mods are recommended. They make the game ten times better.
