Bats Disappearing, leaving unremovable lot

I've had this happen so far with several downloaded bats. During construction or sometimes after plops, the building will disappear, leaving the lot. The lot cannot be queried, demolished, dezoned, or even terraformed over. Removing the corresponding lot file from the plugin folder also does nothing. The only thing I have been able to do is hope I haven't saved after it happened, because once they are there, I cannot get rid of them.

In one instance when the building disappeared during its grow, I dezoned the area underneath it. Once the construction completed, the game crashed. I have the minidump from that specific instance. Previously I ignored this issue as it was more of a nuisance than a real problem. But it has gotten worse. If screen shots or the afore mentioned exception report are desired I will post them.

I appreciate any assistance. I do believe this is being caused by some sort of conflict, but I don't get much time in front of my computer, so I prefer playing than searching for problems/solutions for hours.

I even bombarded them with meteors to no affect. These two belong to the Diagonal Regatta. No matter what I do I cannot remove them, build over them, or anything. Maybe someone knows how to edit save games?

It might help to know which items in particular are causing the issue. Otherwise, a few things to keep in mind...

Be sure your game is fully updated - SC4 Deluxe with the official game patch.

Make sure you have all depenencies given for the items - perhaps they use custom queries...?

Are they functional landmarks - see this for more information.

Immortal Lots - see here for more information.

This bug is different from the functional landmarks problem. In that issue you get buildings growing on lots that are too small for them. The problem I am experiencing is different because these buildings were at one time perfectly functional, and then, while in game, they suddenly disappeared with no input from me. And I have experienced it with both growable and ploppable versions.

    Just to clarify...

Are you saying the items grow or plop normally and function correctly for a time and then disapear in the same game session (without saving, exiting, and re-entering the same city)?

Or are they disappearing upon re-entering a city with the items in use from a previous game session?

They disappear during the game session. Once they enter into that state, they stay that way, no matter what I do.

Only if I can load a game before they disappear will I avoid the problem. If the building disappears, I can even remove all associated files from my plug-in folders and they'll still be there in the game.

I'm going to try the immortal lot fix to see if that works. Let you know asap

Edit: The Immortal Lot Killer Bat solves the problem. Thanks a lot.

If you have lots that do that regularly, it is time to think about whether you want to continue to deal with those plugins at all.
