How to change the main view?

Probably the dumbest /easiest question asked so far, but I can't find it for some reason...

How do I change the view to a normal view where I can see the actual terrain? I'm stuck in a view of blue squares where I can see below ground and see through squares. I can't tell where the land, mountains or even water is. The only thing that looks real is what I actually build. It's like I'm building in space. Please help, haha.

I'm guessing your city looks similar to Some people have suggested that alt-tabbing causes it to occur, but that seems to be hit and miss.. Aside from making sure your video card drivers are up to date, I don't think there's a firm solution to this yet. Doing a quick check on the official forums, some suggestions include reinstalling the game via Origin, but again I don't see a firm solution yet..

What video card are you running?

^^ Yes! That's exactly what mine is doing. I re-installed and it appears to be working fine now.

When I installed it... it did say my video drivers were not up to date. How do I update my video card drivers? I'm not sure what video card I'm running. Its a laptop that meets the specifications for the game. Runs good but not great. It will do for now I guess, haha.

    Thanks again ;)

look in your system folder to find the type of video card...then google the website and look for the download section with updated drivers
