High wealth residents don't work in high tech industry and start abandoning apartments?

I used the rush hour tutorial city in Timbuktu. When my first high tech industries started popping up, most of my high wealth residents started becoming jobless. Afterwards the high wealth apartments started becoming abandoned or degraded. Furthermore, when I went to see who's commuting to the high tech industry, I only saw medium wealth residents working there and very few if any high wealth residents. What gives?

I used this mod after the problems started happening but it didn't do anything:

Really hope someone comes along and sheds some light on this...

Could you show us a snapshot of your city/demand graph? The cause might be something else, it could be that the desirability/demand for high-wealth residents is too low. If this is not the case maybe cogeo came up with helps (use at own risk  ;) ).

Sure! I actually already used that mod as posted in my original post but unfortunately I did not work for me. Here are the pics:

This is my high-wealth residential section of my city. I bulldozed all my abandoned buildings but as you can see most the buildings are jobless and/or degraded.

This is my demand graph. I'm not using any demand mods (except the file from cogeo). So as you can see the high wealth demand isn't negative.

Rich people don't/barely use public transport, they prefer to travel by car. Maybe they can't reach their jobs on time which leads to unemployment and degraded buildings. Are the sims using the RHW you've connected your zones with?

Yes they are (well at least the ones close to the RHW anyway).

Btw the industrial area that the RHW is connecting had a bunch of high tech before this problem started happening. As soon as the high tech appeared, the high wealth started becoming jobless (too long of a commute time) and as a result most of the high tech changed to manufacturing. I only play in Timbuktu so I hope it's not due to a bug Maxis forgot to fix in their tutorial cities. Also, I hope it isn't the eternal commuter bug :/

No, I was just curious to see what it might be since I have been thinking about installing that mod...

I recommend building mid wealth residential, or at least attract them towards those jobs.

BTW, your repuation and posts are the same, which looks perfect and satisfies me.  (might have OCD)

Lmao! I didn't notice that. I guess today's my lucky day :P And yeah I'll try doing that. I might try to replicate this situation in another region because I've heard the Maxis Tutorial cities are bugged.

Be careful what you hear.  The Maxis tutorials are written by people who knew only the vanilla game, warts and all.  But they were the authors of the product.  Some things in the tutorials may have been aimed at an undocumented feature that has been fixed.
