Freight problems...

ok so ive just started playing in a region (formerly playing in my own region just messing around) and 3-4 of my industrial factory's are complaining "we need somewhere to ship our freight" how do i go about solving this problem??  if i put in a trade depot and a couple freight storing facility's will this remedy the issue??

Yes a freight storage right next to them will keep them happy however that freight will convert into profit in an infinite loop and those factories will skip straight to high density if you let them. Freight is wonky in its current implementation.

Freight and industry dont matter. Dont even bother to zone industry. C works just fine without freight. Maxis has even stated that C does not rely on I (like they originally wanted to). Instead I relies on C to exist.  Yet C can provide both roles for R as a job maker and a seller without any problems due to them not needing freight to sell. And not only that, without producing the pollution, water pollution, land use, etc.....

 

So yea...industry in the new simcity....pointless...utterly pointless. If you could sell the freight on the global market..maybe...but...until then..pointless.
