"No more money" residential issue

What is this "no more money" stuff ??? How come they don't have money ?

They didn't get a work to earn any money. One of the datalayers shows you the amount of money each residential building have.

most likely they end up in traffic jams yes, and are thus fired when they actually reach the job or they don't have the needed level of eduation?

One of my suspicions is that it might be related to crimes, specifically robbery. My opinion is that when a residential is robbed, the tenants will scream no money and leave after that. I haven't validated this yet, will try it later.

They are having to travel too far to work, or traffic is stopping them from getting there. Try more buses, trains, etc... or zone jobs near them.
