Water issues

I've been putting a lot of hours into one of my cities (Clearwater) in my my region (original name; Cape Trinity) and have run into a big problem: my water is drying up.  I've tried to keep my pumps send out just enough, but I've had to move the water system 3x now, and there's really only one spot left that I can move them to when the 3rd location runs dry.  I could create more cities in the region and focus on water production for my original city to purchase, but it seems like there should be a better way.

Also, I read somewhere that rivers are an unlimited source of water.  However, I don't have any in my region.  I do have some limited coast line in my own city, but it's not straight and when I put my water pumps are close to the coast as possible, they still ran out.

I also thought the water might replenish itself, but no luck so far.  My first area is totally white on the map now, and hasn't had a hint of blue come back in after moving the pumps out.

Does anyone have a solution for me?  Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Same issues here.  Tried the Sewage outlet pipe as someone else suggested somewhere and filtered the water by bulldozing the initial water pump tank but leaving the pump and adding filters.  The water came out clean but still ran out even though two sewage outflow pipes were pumping it into the ground.  Would love a solution.

So you just keep swapping recycling plant and water pump locations?  It seems like there should be a better way....

Use the sewage treatment facility. It refills the water faster than just an outlet. My big city has two treatment tanks next to two filtered pumps, and my water level is stable at 60 months left, which is 95% capacity for the pump.

This topic is duplicated somewhere here. Nevertheless I will repeat myself. If you use sewage treatment plant, you don't have to use filter pumps to get water, just the regular ones. Because treatment plant is doing the filtering on its own, cause its not producing any ground polution.

oh good to know i added filtered ones.. just put them nice side by side and leave space to expand and your water supply shouldnt be an issue anymore
