Origin Avatar in Simcity

Hi everyone,

 

I'm having trouble getting my avatar from Origin to show up in-game. It uploads and shows fine in Origin chat windows but not anywhere in Simcity, it's just the shadow of a blue man instead. Is there something I'm missing?

Mine won't update either - It's chosen the original one I randomly picked for Origin years ago and it refuses to update to a new one.  I've changed it, I've changed it again, I've deleted files trying to get it to resync.  It makes me very sad =(

Mine finally updated, figured I'd update.  I didn't do anything - it just finally did it tonight.

So it rolled back my city for like the 8th time today and the avatar went back to the old one as well.  Dunno what that means.

Everytime i see someone with a default simcity avatar it makes me sick. I no longer play in regions with people if they dont have a custom avatar.

A lot of people who have the default avatar have it not because they haven't updated it to something decent, rather Origin doesn't consistently insert the custom avatar into the game. Ever since I first booted up SimCity over a week ago, it's been random.

Why doesnt anyone answer the question instead of saying things like "oh yeah I have the same problem blah blah"?
