A few questions - Population density, demand, specializing

I am currently working on my 3rd city - the first 2 were basically practice, but this one seems to have the most potential.

Some stats:

159k People (Kinda stuck here due to lack of build space) - I did the typical block sizes as per their snap graphs.

I have around 3.8 million dollars

Oil Extraction - 3 maxed out sites, and I have the HQ and 1 upgrade

I have a lot of trade - Trade HQ and 1 upgrade

Making processors - Electronics HQ (working on upgrade to make TVs for the build residential tower).

I have 2 fully profitable casinos and 3 different profitable landmarks

2 Expos running all the time

I am pulling in a ton of money, and staying in the black which im happy about.  I hear specializing in 1 thing is the way to go, but I am pulling in more money now than I ever was previously doing 1 specialty.

My problems are as follows:

1.  I am out of space. I cannot increase population with the space that I have currently.  Is there a way to increase the density so much so, that I can scale back a bit on residential areas but increase volume?

2.  How do I get more alloy for processors?  I tried importing them, however, it comes in so slow. I am trying to make TVs to send to my super structure, but I cant get enough processors build to do so in a timely manner.

3.  Would it make sense to remove both expos in favor of a stadium?  The stadium takes up a ton of space, which I am weary about.  I was having issues trying to find a space to fit it.  I had an area cleared out for it, but it wouldnt snap in, so I went with 2 expos.

4.  Is it possible to destroy a neighboring city you wish to start over?  I couldnt figure that out... I would like to more specialize my adjacent city to help my current one.

Thanks!

1. Increase the density need of each building, by adding required coverage from infrastructure. Utilize parks to increase land value. (remember that there are different parks, depending on the wealth you need).

2. Each depot will import/export once per ingame hour. This is individual per depot, so add more depots to increase your stock.

Perhaps, you could also use a secondary city to send these much needed alloys ?

3. The main problem with that idea is that, if your sims cant get to the stadium, then there ticket will be refunded(compared to the expo, which will does not allow refunds, as they pay at the entrance, and not in advance).

So if you traffic/commute system can handle it, then yes.

4. The only way I've found, is to make a city go completely bankrupt... This may take time, but just increase services and such, and give away all your money to a different town, and it will happen in seconds rather than minutes...

If you expect a fast reply from me, please quote me.

- "Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead … Only try to realize the truth.

   Neo: What truth?
   Boy: »There is no spoon.
   Neo: »There is no spoon?

Boy: »Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself."

Besides limited computing power, the problem you have is actually one of the primary reasons cited for the smaller map size. If we had bigger maps, you'd be able to just do everything in your city.

You're complaining about lack of size to expand, yet you've stepped into five of the six city specializations all in one city. You're trying to do all the specializations you can (I imagine you'd be mining too, but there's no coal/metal in the ground for you) and going for high population, and complaining that you're out of space...

I've got 120k population in one of my cities, and I have 1/4th to 1/3rd of the map completely unused because I'm deciding whether or not I want to start drilling for oil. Moreover, this 120k population is slowly growing as I run the simulation and upgrade roads. They're currently almost entirely medium density with a few high density towers and a few low density homes. As I run the simulation, the low density population continues to shrink and the high density population continues to grow. I could probably catch up to your 159k simply by zoning the rest of my unused land with low density residential if I really wanted to.

As for alloys... if your Sims have a high school education, they'll recycle. And if they're recycling, you can get alloys out of the recycling center.
