Gifting money

I started some cities in a region.  One of them was doing very well.  Another was bankrupt with 10mins of pay time.  The bankrupt city gave me the options of starting a new city, turning off buildings, etc.  I chose to turn off building and that left me $327 still in the hole.  Annoyed, I decided to go back to the city that was doing well when I noticed I could gift money.  So I did.  I saw the money leave the well city and go the bad city, but when I went back to the bad city, I was still in the hole $327.  So I went back to the well city and I was still down the $20k I gifted.  

 

Am I out of that money?  Can the bad city still recover?  Can I delete the city and start over?

the money will get there... but is right now caught in limbo within the server sync...

You might be lucky and recieve it in minutes, or unlucky and instead hours...

None of my or my friend's gift between our cities have reached each other either. Been 2 hours now.

1st time it took 7 hours, which was during the 2nd hour of EU release...

2nd time took 5mins, 1 day ago...

3rd time has yet to show up, been 1 hour...

A lot of the regional related stuff is bugged. At one region I can easily buy energy, water and dump waste through regional trade, but gifted money won't reach its goal. In another region, the money reaches its goal but everything else bugs out.

I gifted 250K to a new city i started so I had some funds to build it.  Been over 24hrs and it still isnt showing up.  The it just disappear?

Well I gifted money to a third city and it got there.  Gifted money to the city in the hole, nothing.  I am beginning to think I have to abandon the city because the -$327 keeps the city on pause.

Regional transactions are slow at best right now due to server issues. Not sure how you could bankrupt a city within 10 minutes. Either turn off all your services, raise taxes or pull out a loan. Then zone enough space to get more tax revenue.

It would be hard to actually not be able to recover from debt, you would have to have done something majorly wrong.

Ive tried gifting to a different city of mine after failing my first town and realized that my gifts were getting sent by freight and i didnt have any freight trucks so had to build a trade depot, also i blocked off my roads and raised taxes to make loads of money to start a fresh town but you need to connect the roads back so the freight trucks and actually get to the town ur gifting too seems to be working fine now was wandering why it was talking so long to gift only taking like 2mins now 

also if u stay in region view u can actually see the freight trucks with ur money being gifted to the next city if u wait a bit it should appear.

Update- Just tracked down the delivery truck its called a simoleons delivery truck and its blue, so u can follow it in ur town and see where its stuck in traffic and see why its taking so long to deliver, if ur not getting gifts ur probably gridlocked and ur truck cant move = cant deliver ur money
