We want square tiles!

In SC4 the Police Station is 4x4 and the Fire Station is 2x3. But in SimCity?

Don't get me wrong. I know there are loads of people who hate perfectly squared cities. BUT. There are also loads of people who love them. So, for weird people like me,  can we plz have the old grid system (it won't affect players that hate it) so that we know the size of each building and use every single tile of space available to us?

Thank you.

Lol, I never thought I would see the day anyone would beg for the much-maligned grid found in earlier SC games like SC4.  I've despised the grid right up there with the best of them, but seeing the frustrations some are experiencing while filling in the non-square areas is making me think twice about it.  Therefore, I feel that your expressed desire for a grid has considerable merit.  If only EA would listen.

I've played the lesser-known SimCity Creator, which is essentially a Wii port of SC3K with the addition of a few SC4-esque features as well as curvy roads.  The curvy roads sounded so cool at first for that game, but I ran into loads of trouble trying to draw them out "just so" and form intersections.  Come to think of it, SC2013 is reminding me a little of SCC, but even SCC included an optional grid which could be used to build orthogonal roads as we know them in SC4.

What we're getting in SC4 from some spectacular custom content is a hybrid grid, which provides us with the convenience of square tiles and the flexibility of fractional-angle roads and some diagonal buildings which are released periodically.

I sincely love this "new" system, especially since, if you do want those ugly looking but effective squares, you can have it... With the "snap-on lines" system...

I have yet to find any problem in building both squared but also round'ish cities, with the way the system works...

If you expect a fast reply from me, please quote me.

- "Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead … Only try to realize the truth.

   Neo: What truth?
   Boy: »There is no spoon.
   Neo: »There is no spoon?

Boy: »Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself."
