Is there a way to connect an intersecting GLR line and subway line?

Hey guys, in my city, I have a ground light rail line that runs north-south and a subway line that runs east-west. They do intersect with each other, but I was wondering how to properly set them up when they intersect.

Currently, I have two separate stations for them when they intersect, one station for the GLR line, and the other for the subway line. But the transit advisor keeps telling me how I should merge the two intersecting lines together. I know for a fact that the game thinks a GLR line is an elevated rail line, but is there an actual station for an intersecting GLR and subway line?

In the pictures below, that's how my setup for the intersecting lines look like right now. The subway station is there, and the GLR stop is just north of the subway stop.

But is there a way to merge them together, or is that how you would properly set that up?

Since you already have the NAM installed, just download the new version (NAM 31). There's a GLR to subway transition there. There are also Tram in Avenue and Tram in Road to Subway transitions as well.

The Bus/Subway/GLR and Subway/GLR stations for the GLR-in-Avenue puzzle pieces, included with the current RTMT packs, do provide interchange between all three transit types, and are modded so that they make the Advisor shut up!

I don't think it really matters, though.

That's to say, people will commute from one line to the other. I've checked that out long ago, and it did work.

For the angry advisor, you can always turn him into a llama. :P

If you play on hard you will only get urgent advise dialogue boxes, and you can turn these off and rely on the ticker.

Oh, is that right? The only reason why I would want to connect the GLR and subway line at a station is to increase ridership or make it more efficient. I don't really care if the advisor bugs me about it (cause again, the game just assumes the GLR line is an elevated rail line). If it doesn't affect ridership or commute patterns, then it wouldn't be worth remaking the intersection as one subway station because my GLR station actually has more capacity.

But if making a GLR-Subway connection would mean more passengers using the station, then I might rebuild the intersection.

Here's a couple of pics of the commute patterns on that intersection. The first pic is from the GLR line and the second pic is from the subway line station:

I'm not sure if the passengers in my city are transferring from that station intersection. Here's a pic of an intersection in my city where two subway lines intersect. From the arrows, you can tell that passengers do make a transfer from one subway line to another. With the GLR and subway lines, those arrows aren't there.

So would it make a huge difference if I made a GLR-to-subway transition for the GLR/subway intersection station?

I don't think it makes that much of a difference.

If the capacity of the combined station is lower than either of the current stations, you'd be better off keeping the current intersection.

What you want is the glr/bus/sub transition included in NAM31 under misc transport its a 3 in 1 piece taking up 2x2 squares, it comes in a road and ave version I believe as I have yet to play with glr.

It will work as a all one 1 transition so interchanges and stuff between bus sub and glr all compatible etc and no worrying about having multiple stations to do the same thing a single piece can so its better in the long run for commute stuff to have everything tied together as one network etc.

Screenshot of the piece cropped from the official rtmt screenshots click on it for full size.

Sounds like some good ideas to connect the systems together.

When I get home tonight and play some SC4, I'll try using the station you guys posted (it's in this package right? ) And see if it makes a difference. If not, then I'll just quit without saving and leave the station as it is.
