Great Works Help!

I realize I probably posted this in the wrong forum just barely so sorry for the repost, I'm new:/  Anyways, I'm trying to build the International Airport between my 3 cities, do
I have to have all the resources on hand stored up, or can I slowly
send resources to fill the quotas for the Great Work over time?  That is
a $%&^! ton of storage if so.  Please help, and thanks!

Good question. I am not sure also because I just started mine. This game could have came with a 100 page manual! I guess you'll find out if you play though.

I'm 3 cities in and I just can't figure it out:P  Agreed though, that this game could use a huge manual!  I sincerely hope they don't expect you to store 250,000 barrels of oil in your oil city though...

Did you start the Great Works yet? I started mine but it was doing the Petition to Build thing. Not sure what THAT is all about but that's when I left.

No, I don't know how to get even that far.  I play in sandbox mode, does that change it at all?  How do you start the petition or whatever?

You pay 1 million simoleons upfront and then you have to feed it materials until it's complete. That's why it's called a Great Works. It's a work-in-progress until you give it all the materials it needs.

 

The Great Works are designed for multiplay. Everyone in the region can pitch in and send materials during the building stage.

Yeah, you pay 1 million up front then you get a quest to send resources there bit by bit

I don't actually know what to click to send something to my great work.  Can someone give me a clue?

You pay the money to start it.  Once it starts you set all your trade depots/ports to 'use locally' and they will slowly make their way over to the great work.  The great work will only show increases in amount at the end of each day.  After it is finished building, you need to hop into each city and wait in each city for some time so that each city will update the great work's status.  This is because city play is actually offline and only the regional data is transferred through EA's servers.  If you are playing in the region alone you will need to hop and wait for each of your active cities to register your great work is done.  After that it will need power/water/whatever.  Just make sure you have enough excess power/water in all your cities combined and just sit and wait until EA's servers feel like updating the status on the great work.  Then it will be done.

 

That's pretty much all the problems and solutions I've encountered.
