    Fredval you are doing a great job with this CJ it looks really beautiful, I especially like your last mosaic of the Akpatok Island (how do you come up with such a name?)
    The colors in your images do they come from Cycledogs mod or are you working them over in Photoshop? Anyway it is looking so much better than the original colors used by Maxis in the game.

    Date: 6/11/2005 11:33:16 AM Author: the_crispbread_witch How do you do it? It looks so real! Great terraforming. Peg's lighthouses are pretty neat too!

    Here is a more detailed view of MONK ISLAND. Only monks live there, thus the name of the island... Simple !

    Kwakelaar : Akpatok really exists on Earth. It is in Northern Canada. To improve the Maxis colours I generally increase Contrast under Photoshop (+10)

    Sc4frk : thanx and welcome on this thread

    Crispbread : the seaport is Japanese made. you will find it in the Japanese thread... And believe it or not, my boss does not leave me any choice 11.gif

    Jglei : You're right but whalers of Eole Islands are really brave 16.gif

    Again, more wonderful pics.  I love the look of the lighthouse.  The global shot is amazing as well.....Is that a crane I see off in the distance......?  Perhaps we will find out in an upcoming update.....

    Excellent update again.
    And if you don't mind me asking, where does that monastery come from, I have been searching for something like that for quite a long time.

    Dhoppeii : Thanks for the comments !  No it is not a crane. It's just a lighthouse and a ship 9.gif

    Kwakelaar : The monastery is a Japanese one (i love this thread !) It was on one of the first pages as far as I remember...

    Now I've started another city, north from HACKENSACK. It is ROCKAWAY BEACH !

    Here is a picture of the current development :

    fredval172.jpg

    It still needs a lot of work, but a very enjoyable work 2.gif

    Stunning pictures of those islands, and nice use of PEG's lighthouses. Note to self: Seeing how they look so nice here, I've gotta find a way to use them myself... 10.gif

    Rockaway Beach is developing very nicely, and again lots of small things to see.
    Guess I will have to browse through the Japanese thread again, I have obviously missed a few things. Thanks!

    Nice terraforming with these islands and cool to see that you finally found the time to start a new city. ROCKAWAY BEACH looks really nice (the name reminds me a famous punk song).

    Lovely colour in the Rockaway pic. More close-ups of the beach, are those bouys? (spelling?)

    Can you tell us how you plop the boats? (Reveal some secrets!)

    He he he... You mean a famous punk song of the same band who did Pet Cemetary, Judy is a Punk, Now I wanna snif some glue, Blitzkrieg Bop, Rock & Roll HighSchool, California Sun and so on ?  If yes, we probably think to the same band. So gabba gabba hey ! 44.gif

    Thanks to everybody for the very gentle comments. It's cool to see that this thread can remain on the 1st page more than 1 hour. It gives motivation 16.gif

    I'd just like to show you the small village of OCONTO (2 km west from ROCKAWAY BEACH) :

    OCONTO produces a really nice red wine, one of the best (and largest) production all over the planet.

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/fredval173.jpg align=baseline>

    And here is a cool lama breeding farm. I have to confess that I'm quite proud of it (except the windmill which doesn't fit and needs to be reworked (adjusted to the slop)) :

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/fredval1771.jpg align=baseline>

    I hope you will like it !

    Now I need to play a little bit more with ROCKAWAY BEACH...
    Come back soon

    It is still looking so fresh and again nice details in your pictures.
    You must be making a lot new lots for this CJ, I think I recognize a lot of props from different people (and Maxis).

    Fredval don't be so modest, your CJ are one of the best around. Mickebear also have a great CJ, but with different qualities.
    By the way nice to see a overview of your region so far.
