I want to pre order this game

But should I get the limited or deluxe edition of the game? Just to point out in the UK the difference is £30+ pounds

Get the Deluxe if you want the extra tilesets (British/French/German). That's all the Deluxe gets you. If you don't care, then don't.

Don't bother getting the Deluxe for that much of a difference.  All you get are the different city sets from European style countries.  If you ever find yourself wanting one of those city sets later, you can just purchase it as DLC.

Don't forget, Amazon (US) is still running the promotion where, if you buy the *boxed* (not digital) LE from them ($59.99), they will give you a $20 credit on your Amazon account. If, like me, you order tons of stuff from Amazon anyway, this effectively brings your Limited Edition/Heroes and Villains price to $39.99.

The deluxe stuff will be a DLC, and all DLC goes on sale eventually via spring/summer/xmas sales....... .so why pay full price for only visual bits in a "deluxe" version....when you can get them for cheaper later.

Get the limited game and upgrade later if you wish to by getting just the DLC you want to get. You can get the limited game download for around £30 if you look around.

 

But I wouldnt preorder anything unless you are absolutely certain you know what you are getting and in this case you do not. I would give it a few weeks and then read this forum first before making a decision. Although I honestly dont expect anything to be said that hasnt been said already. But its just the longevity of the gameplay that I am uncertain on. If people say after the second week that they have nothing left to do with the game I will know not to buy.

Don't know what normal price is for DLC in UK, but I wouldn't buy it for about 60% of game price. Better wait for some sales.

In Poland prices on Origin are: 169 zł (53$) for limited edition and 189 zł (59.6$) for Delux (all 3 country DLC). And we get 60zł (19$) bonus for pre-order to shop on Origin. So I will take Delux, since I think it will be hard to prices of DLC drop bellow this level in future.
