Well, I was thinking (since I am a big fan of these) that I can start a show us your planned community fourm. I searched and didnt see it so....lets continue. And remember not all planned comunities are filled with 2 story houses and big parks etc., some can have hi rises in them. And most planned communities are either gated or only have 1-2 entrances.

Here is S. Greenway Ave (the border between the 3 subdivisons of "Woodward" (From my Portland CJ)

I felt that I should contribute to this thread, It is almost treading on the show us your suburbs thread, however, Planned communities is a more specialized topic. I can relate to you in the fact that I like to create individualized communities/subdivisions rather than a whole city tile of undefined suburban neighborhoods. I really only use the 1x1 maxis residentials mainly because I like the tract style look alike feel to my suburban areas. I will post more pictures later, hopefully some other players who build similairly will contribute!

Those are simgoober's Highgrove and Colonial homes. I used his models and various props to re lot them.

That almost reminds me of Roosevelt Island in NYC but also the Venetian Islands in Miami. I like it! must be some pricey real estate!

Not particularly fond of the Maxis bungalows, but something about being grouped together seems to work. You won't see this kind of zoning of bungalows again anywhere else in my region. Though not as spectacular as other images, thought the cliff side park added a bit to warrant a posting.

I went overboard with those bungalows in my last region! They are very attractive little houses though if you think about it. I've been distancing myself from my love affair with them by starting a new region.
