I presume you are typing this on your computer at work, or on a public computer at a library...?  Why not just get a portable flash drive and download it while you're using the computer you're currently using?  If you save it to the flash drive, you can transfer the downloaded file onto the computer that isn't on the net.

Sure thing.  And flash drives these days are capable of storing 16GB of data.  Some even store 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, but you can easily get by with a 16GB model, which wouldn't be expensive at all.  The one I have is 8GB, and it cost only $10 when I bought it a couple of years ago.  Today you can get the exact same one for about $4.  Plus, you can tuck it away in your pocket.  Soooo...happy downloading!

LOL that's exactly what I do, just so I don't risk downloading harmful stuff on my pc, I just go to the library on my lunchbreaks and download this and that, putting it on my flashdrive and putting it on my PC afterwards, it works just as perfect...without the harmful viriuses. :)

Thanks for the links of the gas stations :)

Sorry to have to tell you this but you are still subject to virus infection. Viruses nearly always hide inside other programs and are often unleashed upon installation. My suggestion is to be sure you have a good and up to date virus program on your machine and scan the files on your removable media BEFORE you install them. If there is any concern of safety you might want to do a quick scan after install as well to check for anything that might have gone into the boot sector and starts up on re-boot.

Danger behind every corner it seems...welcome to the 21st century. ;)

Yeah, I want to echo Jim14409.  A flash drive is good for easily transferring files, but it isn't immune to viruses.  I always run a virus scan and malware scan on every file I download off the internet, including each custom plugin for SC4 - even those I get here from the STEX.

Paranoia is good with downloads.  I don't believe there has ever been a reported virus from the STEX, LEX, nor PLEX.  The old Maxis site was a cesspool.
