Ok thanks all for the great comments, as always, and heres an update..Less pictures, more talking.  Here is the History of Victoria and the region.

In the early 1800's (date unspecified), Captain James Vancouver discovered present day Victoria while exploring the Pacific Coast.  He came across one pristine landscape with lush forests, crystal oceans, pristine beaches and highlands.  He claimed the land for the British Crown, and named it after the Queen of England, Queen Victoria.  (2 settlments in the area were named after the queen, one on Vancouver Island, now part of Canada).  Vancouver went on to explore much of the west coast, and the name Vancouver still holds in the Cities of Vancouver in Washington and Canada, Vancouver Island, and the Vancouver Highway in Victoria.

From 1815 or so onward, 2 colonies were founded.  One at present day St. George (named for the patron saint of England), and the other in the north towards Manchester (named after the City of Manchester, England).  Until 1850, when the salmon fisheries started, the colonies were somewhat dead.  Once the people knoew of the vast amounts of Salmon in the waters, the city boomed.  The present day City of Victoria (Harbour District) was founded in 1850, and it quickly became a city of 10 000+.  Over the years, the economy switched from fishing to manufacturing, and many factories were made.  Victoria emerged as the main commerce/manufacturing center and St. George the place where the rich resided.  It reached its peak in the 1920's, but when the city reached about 150 000 people, the depression hit.  After, the population stayed around 100 000 people until 2004, when Queen Elizabeth International was built.

In 1867, The Republic of Simnation took over the colony of Victoria after the signing of the British Norh America act, which gave Canada its independence, and handed over several colonies to France, and Victoria to Simnation.  Many British-heritaged people were outraged at this, and some are still mad today.

    Hope you enjoyed my history..

Victoria as it looked in 1970--not different at all from how it looked in the 1990's.  The streets have been repaved, and some improvments made, but essentially not much changed at all.

And today.  You can see how much growth has occured recently.  Chapel Hill was named after the hill in the center of the city.  A small chapel was built there, and has since been demolished, but the name stuck.  It is perhaps the most populous of the new suburbs.

Huge growth in Galveston.  The new neighborhood if Dechene shares the name of a county just to the south.

haha again i got sidetracked and didnt really play on victoria, BUTTTT i do have some good stuff taht will be going on soon.

i said i would be moving away from the quebec seperatist movement and all, but we just did some of that at school and I will be following the timeline with some MAJOR things reversed..so if you are farmiliar with the story, only the end part will be different.

alright i will work for a huge update but i doubt it will be ready for later today because i am going away for the weekend but i will have it early in the week.

look forward to be working on this again44.gif

    ------FINISHED

I know i said i wouldnt let this one die..But the region seems to have bugged up immensley.  I am not quite sure how it happened.. but my computer crashed when I open the Harbour District, St. George and Queen E. International.  Seeing these are the centerpoints of my region, there is no point in continuing.

Look for a new CJ by me soon, I am looking for a map and such and already have constructed a neat story.

***note the story WAS formed by me at about the time i put in the notice the worlds fair was to be held in Victoria

For those of you that were wondering, I WAS mirroring the FLQ [Front de la Liberacion de Quebec] -- pardon my poor french spelling -- and there terroristic seperatism tactics in the late '60's early '70's.  I was going to say that the referendum was cancelled because of the immaturity the HS.. And than thats where some major things would happen to the region..
[The border city in the north was planned to be torn apart by bombing]..The next struggle would have been to keep the Worlds Fair Bid running with all of the terrorism in the country, and the danger..
Worlds fair would have happened regardless, but a bomb would have been detonated right in the middle of the pavilion..luckily misfiring but still killing 50 - ish people.

This is where the stories deviate..

Victoria separates from Simnation by force, but thankfully missing most of the main population areas, although the border city [Manchester] would be totalled.

And than I didn't think after that haha

Well hope you enjoyed this last update although you could hardly call it an update really..

heres one last reminder of my beautiful but so .. un-working city//
    <img align=baseline>

If i fix the bug i will pop in every once in a while and show you new developments, just no more story.

STAY TUNED FOR A CJ BY ME IN THE NEAR FUTURE..and i had fun

Did you try pulling all your mod - plugins and reloading. Sometimes you can get things going again then add your mods one at a time to see if there is a conflict somewhere.

Anyways you had a nice CJ going ~ look forward to the next!
