Missing trees

Ok, so I opened a city I've been playing normally for the last couple of days (weeks? :D) and all of my trees were suddenly gone. And I mean litterally every tree I've ever planted. That's like hudreds of trees. What am I to do now, do I really have to plant them all over again? Is this a known bug?

I haven't downloaded any new plugins (just relotted two)..

What should I check? Everything was set to medium, I've reset it to high now, still no trees. I'm running hardware rendering , 32-bit color and 1600x1200 resolution, with only fog and clouds turned off.

In case I wasn't clear, only the trees I've hand-planted are gone, sidewalk trees and prop-trees on lots are still there.

And you are 100% you didn't change anything inbetween?

Which trees were you using at all? Could it be that you used growing trees that first grow to full size and then eventually die? A link to your mayor-mode trees would be helpful.

I'm positive. Like I said, I just relotted two of budybud's relots of jeronij's retaining walls (To align the bases with a 45-degree road, a thing I've done for quite a few times playing this region).

Here's a picture of what happened:

For example, this railroad trench, together with vrtually every grown or plopped lot, was covered in palms, pines, shrubs and what not, just like  this short strech of grass along the vertical road, which I did just now. So, the trees I'm using (basicly mediterranean flora plus some palms and semi-tropical and tropical plants) are still in my plugins. For god-mode I'm using

    Mayor mode trees: etc...

Any MMPs that you plop are very sensitive to ground elevation changes... if the elevation changes even slightly, the MMPs will be deleted.  It often happens if you drag a rail line (or even re-drag one) or plop a lot somewhere that changes the elevation.  Could this be what happened?  Or did you allow the game to reconcile the city edges?  That could have done it too.

Nothing of such sort. I just opened the city tile I was playing the day before, and every single tree I've hand-plopped (which was there when I saved and exited the game) was gone.

I'm aware of the land elevation change sesitivity, and I never use the reconcile edges option on a built city (for obvious reasons)..

It seems like I've got myself an hour or two of replanting..  :(

Plus, I have an old and unrelated question regarding some missing textures, and was wondering where would be the right place to ask it? :D
