Downloaded buildings plopable

Hi Guys!

Is there a way to plop downloaded buildings into SC4?

Instead of waiting for it to random grow, you can just go to the monument menu and search for it like the RH Plopmod?

You can always use the DLL Cheat to make every buildings ploppable. But it's not highly recommended, especially when it comes to Residential buildings.

You can mod a building to be ploppable. It takes a little bit of learning with iLive's Reader...and the instructions to do it are somewhere in this tutorial.

The DLL has three cheats for plopping otherwise unploppable buildings: one is for plopping all buildings in the game, and the other two (lotplop & buildingplop) are for choosing one building from among a list of all buildings in your game and individually plopping it.

You can zone an area the size of a plopable residential building and build it on top of that and it will still function.

There has always been a problem with plopping residential buildings (as opposed to a landmark building based on a residential building), as the residents won't commute to work. I've personally never used the ploppable cheats, and try to download BATs that have a ploppable option. I like to keep some randomization even in my planned areas (like CBDs) to keep me honest. I find it can get really easy to totally rely on plopped buildings to meet RCI demand and aesthetic considerations. Unfortunately, it makes my landmark menu ridiculously long.

It totally lets you plop residential, just use "buildingplop" and select the residential buildings out of the list. For reasons mentioned previously, they will abandon however and are effectively unfunctional.
