Hi all,

I've installed SimCity 4 on my windows 8 and it runs smooth. No crashes after playing for 2 hours.

Hope this helps out on people who were curious if it was possible to run on Windows 8.

lol the only system SC4 doesn't crash on me is my Pentium 4 3.0HT with 2GB RAM and 8400GS video card (using WinXP). Won't play for more than 3-4 minutes on anything that has Windows 7 or true multiple cores.

As a long time computer tech, I know its the game, not my systems.

@screwball: Lots of people have found solutions to running in multi-core systems and Windows 7. You should review the crash threads in Bugs and Technical Issues.

As a very long time computer tech myself, I've never let an operating system nor a hunk of hardware defeat what I wanted to do.
