    Hey folks!

I got myself the NAM today, version 3.0 and in addtion the NAM hotfix, both from this page.

    Im using Simcity 4 Deluxe.

Problem is, since i installed the NAM and co., the time simulator works weird.

Time is often running incredibly slow, regardless which time booster im using.

On the fastest mode, a day can sometimes take several minutes to pass.

We all know that days are not running in the same speed all the time, sometimes its a little quicker, then it stops for a short while and so on.

But since today, its incredibly slow!

Anyone has similar problems or ideas how to fix that?

    Thanks a lot in advance...

First of all, is your game build level at 1,1,638,1 at least? (if your game was loaded from disks, you needed to patch it).

Next, we can't possibly guess what may have happened to your game. The NAM does not do this. We need the specifications of your machine to begin to diagnose this. What does dxdiag say about your machine? (Open your run box, type in dxdiag and hit enter).

A snapshot of the first page of dxdiag's output will tell us most of what we need to know about your hardware.

How many plugins do you have besides the NAM. Before installing the NAM, did you make sure you did not have any previous version? If you have any other traffic controllers running, you have a conflict. Only the NAM controller will work properly. If, for example, you have the SPAM controller, take it out.

Although the NAM does not slow down the game, as your cities increase in size, the game will tend to run slower. When this becomes noticeable depends on how fast your computer is, among other things, but it's generally after your city has passed a half million in population. This slowdown is due to the traffic simulator, whose consumption of CPU resources rises exponentially with your city's population. This is inherent in the basic programming of SC4, and there is no fix other than getting a faster computer.
