No matter what I do, I can't get 1x1 resedential lots to grow after installing CAM.... is this normal?... if not is there a fix?

I hate the way 1x2/3 lots look in my cities.

the region and city this is happening in are fresh...

In the unmodded game, there are no 1x1 stage 1 lots. Therefore initially, there would not be any. CAM may not alter this, so you'll just need to wait for stage 2 development. Here's a list of CAM lots with the sizes.

really??... because every time I start a new city I always zone 1x1 lots down the sides of streets, and they always pop up pretty much instantly... this only started happening once I installed CAM...

I usually do it with comercial lots too... and they also stopped developing with CAM installed.

    I don't get it :|

This has ALWAYS worked for me before... even without mods

There are a limited number of 1 x 1 lots in stage 2 and following. I have no idea if the CAM kills this in the randomizer. I have added several sets of 1 x 1 and 2 x 1 lots, but I don't use CAM.

CAM has to be installed with caution and understanding. It is not for the new player.

First: Nonny is right. CAM is an incredible boon to the gameplay (In my opinion!), but it's not for the faint of heart. The fact you didn't read and understand the many stickied topics on the CAM board, which would have yielded the answer to your question, means you are not yet ready for it.

Second: Rush Hour stage limits are much lower than CAM's. You only need 300 low wealth sims to see their stage 2 lots pop up in Rush Hour, whereas you need 800 to see stage 2 low wealth lots in CAM. Had you grown your city a bit more in CAM, you would have gotten to stage 2 and the 1x1 lots.
