G'day,

I'm running SimCity4 Deluxe and I recently installed Cycledoggs terrain mod and vjot's diagonal fix. Got rid of both of them after this weird stuff started happening but since then it's continued. I've not had this problem before and my PC runs SC4 perfectly fine otherwise. Hope someone can help me out!

i think you may have a corrupted (broken) city. Open up a new city and notify us if the glitch continues. What are your computer specs?

Sometimes I had that happen to me. I tracked down the cause (for my case) to having the game in windowed mode and having the size of the window being identical to the screen resolution, and having the window maximised.

I backed up all my plugins and removed them to see if I'd still get the graphics glitch, which I did. I then deleted the region I was playing in and replaced it with a fresh copy and started in the same place and still got the problem. I'm currently reinstalling the game itself.

Oh, and I wasn't running it in windowed mode so I don't think that was the problem.

The game was not made to run on today's machines, and strange graphics issues sometimes arise. You might check your video settings and be sure they are set to Application Controlled where ever possible. Just a thought...

Cheers mate. I've had it set running on one core for awhile now and it's given me no problems at all.

As far as I can tell the problem has been solved. I reinstalled the game and then reintroduced the plugins I had before and the weird glitches have vanished. I think it was a corrupted file as mentioned above.

    Thanks for the help!

When you install a god mode terrain mod, then remove it, you have to scrap any city that had it. The alternative is to bulldoze all the trees or obliterate the city.
